Captain’s Hideout Refund & Cancellation Policy

Captain’s Hideout values every guest and strives to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which guests may cancel, reschedule, or request a refund for services purchased directly through Captain’s Hideout or its authorized representatives.
By booking an excursion or visiting us, guests acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. Standard Excursion Bookings

Full Refund: Cancellations received 48 hours or more prior to the scheduled excursion time are eligible for a 100% refund.

No Refund: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the excursion, or failure to appear (no-show), will result in forfeiture of all payments.
Captain’s Hideout reserves the right to verify booking times, payment methods, and guest attendance records before approving refunds.
2. Private Charters & Group Bookings

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure all private or group charters.

The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the scheduled departure.

Full Refund: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled departure will receive a full refund of any additional payments made beyond the deposit.

No Refund: Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled departure are non-refundable.
Deposits may be transferred to a new date, subject to vessel availability and management approval.
3. Weather, Safety, and Operational Cancellations
Captain’s Hideout reserves the right to cancel or postpone any excursion, charter, or activity due to:

Unsafe sea or weather conditions;

Mechanical or operational issues;

Government-imposed restrictions; or
-
Any circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
In such cases, guests will be offered the option to:

Reschedule for another available date at no additional cost; or
-
Receive a full refund of all payments made for the cancelled activity.
Refunds are not available for weather conditions that do not pose a safety risk (e.g., light rain, cloud cover, or wind).
4. Refund Method and Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original form of payment used at booking.

Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to process.

Captain’s Hideout is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors, banks, or third-party booking platforms.

Guests who booked through a third-party agent or reseller must contact that provider directly, as their terms may differ.
5. Limitation of Liability
Captain’s Hideout and its affiliates shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of enjoyment, or travel-related costs arising from cancellations or rescheduling.
Participation in water-based activities is undertaken at the guest’s own risk and subject to the signing of a liability waiver prior to departure.
